About us
About us
Hello!
We are Deborah and Murdock McFarlane, founders of Snopaw Tibetan Terriers.
We live in Beaconsfield, Québec, but spend our summers at the cottage on Devil Lake, north of Kingston, Ontario.
We breed only occasionally (every year or two) and seek exceptional homes for our puppies. Rarely, a mature dog might be available.
We believe that all dogs are ultimately companions. We make health and personality a priority along with breed type. Our puppies are hand-raised in our home with excellent socialization by the dam and all ages of people.
We breed only girls that are over two years old as they must be that age in order to obtain an OFA certification for hip dysplasia. Yearly CERFs (eye examinations) are done on all breeding stock. Puppies are raised for a minimum of 10 weeks, usually longer, and any placed puppy will be welcomed back, for whatever reason, at any time.
We are members of the Tibetan Terrier Club of Canada, the Tibetan Terrier Club of America, and the Canadian Kennel Club.
We continue to learn and grow as we read and research further, attend seminars and workshops, and participate in Tibetan Terrier events, boosters, and specialties. We are grateful to our TT community for their shared knowledge and continued support.
