The Tibetan Terrier is an ancient breed that was raised in the Tibetan monasteries as a companion animal.  It is not a terrier but is rather a guarding and herding dog.  Intelligent and independent, TTs are equally at home on a long walk or curled up on the couch, so long as they are with their people.
